1st Chakra – Muladhara

Muladhara the name of the  first chakra , also known as the  root chakra , which is located in the perineum place between the genitals and anus.
This is the chakra that is the support of the whole body (his name means precisely  “the base” support ) and is depicted as a lotus flower with scarlet petals that is associated with the color red.
Its element is the  earth : the representation of the design incorporated from here in a square (shape that represents the Teraa).
The stage of life that is associated is that of early childhood, strongly linked to emotions such as security and the joy of living.

When the first chakra is blocked, the consequences are a strong  insecurity  and apathy, along with a loss of self-esteem that can lead us to a discouraged attitude and always resigned in the activities of everyday life. Even too much activity of this chakra, by contrast, does not bring positive consequences: you may run into mental rigidity, hostility to the changes, aggression and excessive attachment to money.
We must pay special attention to the Muladhara chakra when we pass through periods of  great change , such as a separation, a move, the beginning of a new business and in general all the incidents involving our sense of security and stability.

The root chakra, as its name suggests, is associated to our own  roots , the  vitality  and  stability . It acts on our survival instinct, our desire for security and protection and our basic needs, like food and shelter. Associated with the root chakra are also the needs and emotional functions, such as family loyalty, beliefs and values.

When the needs mentioned above are fulfilled the root chakra is balanced, resulting in a stable individual, with a solid foundation of values and self-assured.

If these needs are not met and the first chakra is blocked, external symptoms may include:
